A rare 1800’s Grover and Baker Treadle Sewing Machine, all intact. One of the early sewing machine designs. The latest patent date stamped on the machine is 1861. The wheel under the machine originally raised and lowered the arm, and it worked briefly, then locked up. Needs a belt. The treadle assembly is all intact, with a wooden rod that goes up from the pedal to the pulley. The original instructions are in the drawer, but have separated into sections. The wood cover for the top is from a later Singer machine, not the right cover.
