This hat and these badges were taken to the Tin Soldier in Roseville for authentication, and Ken would not authenticate any of the 3. He believed the hat could be original, but he was not convinced. It is at least a high quality reproduction of a Nazi SS Fire Policeman's Hat from the WW II era. Ken believes that both the SS badge and the skull & crossbones are reproductions.
