Description:
  • This is one of only a few copies of a 2 volume book written from a US Navy Ensign’s diary aboard the USS Sumner during World War II. It begins on December 7, 1941 – the day the ship was attacked in Pearl Harbor. Both volumes were initially completed by him on December 7, 1997, and revised November 30, 2000. It covers his wartime experiences on the USS Sumner from December 7, 1941, to May 27, 1944
  • Each volume is about 200 typewritten pages, with some pictures, maps and other diagrams
  • The Ensign later became an attorney and Superior Court Judge. He resided in Davis, CA. Both volumes appear to be very well written, with lots of detail
  • The picture is numbered 80/250. It is taped to a backing in an inexpensive frame, behind glass.
  • Volume II has some discoloration on the plastic cover only, otherwise both volumes are in very good condition
