This mask is the early pattern. It is well used, and has even been taped around the mouthpiece. 2 of the straps on the back have come loose and were repaired long ago.

This mask was taken to The Tin Soldier, at 222 Vernon Street in Downtown Roseville, for authentication. The Tin Soldier has been in the war memorabilia business for 33 years and is well qualified to authenticate items like this.
