This collection of well over 100+ autographs is from a baseball lover writing many letters to retired pro baseball players in the early 1980's. Most of the players who responded played in the 1940's, but there are some from the 20's through the 60's. This collector sent a handwritten note to each of these players asking them to sign an enclosed picture (not included). Many wrote back on the other side of  the note with notes about their careers. Some wrote back on 3 x 5 cards, and even cut out pieces of manilla folders. The collector even saved the cutout return address from each of the envelopes he received.
