Description:
  • From the former owner, who was aboard the famed WW II Heavy Cruiser, the USS Salt Lake City during most of the World War II. Also known as the 'One Ship Fleet'.
  • Includes a large framed picture of the ship with a symbol commemorating the 15 enemy ships sunk, 12 enemy airplanes shot down, and 29 enemy islands bombarded by the ship during WW II. The picture is 30" x 24" on the outside, in a metal frame with glass front.
  • The smaller picture appears to be a photo of a painting of the ship, also with the commemorative sticker. It is 13" x 10" in a wood frame with glass front
  • The other smaller picture is of the second USS Salt Lake City, which is an attack submarine (SSN716), commissioned after the first ship was decommissioned. It is signed by the Commanding Officer on 12-6-97, with a note to the former owner
  • The Cruise Book is about the ship's travels during WW II, and published after the war
  • Also includes a copy of a story about the WW II Battle of Komandorski, where the ship was hit and almost sunk
