  • This is an authentic U.S. Government Land Grant dated April 9, 1881 deeding 160 acres near Sacramento, CA to an heir of a 1st Lieutenant in the Kentucky Volunteers, who served during the Mexican-American War. It is signed for President James Garfield by his secretary. Has the U.S. Presidential Seal
  • The land was granted to Mary Dugan, as an heir to William Barbour. Mary Dugan is a great great grandmother of the seller
  • Measures just under 16" x 10"
  • Has some folds but is intact, legible, and in very good condition
