Both pieces are heavy and appear to be hand carved from solid Rosewood. Age not known, but owner ells us they have been in the family since the mid 1960's. Both seats are about 17" high. The bench seat is 50.5" wide on the inside, 54" on the outside of the front legs. The chair seat is 18" wide on the inside, 23.5" on the outside. Both are about 31" high at top of back. The chair is slightly loose at back, could use minor gluing. The bench needs some glue and reinforcement of the upper section, the top rail lifts off on one side. There is also a broken spot that has been repaired on the upper section - see pics, and the seat section has shrunk near one corner - see pics. Both are useable as is, and well made with intricate carvings.
