This is surplus science equipment that came from UC Berkeley or Stanford many years ago. It is heavy cast-iron and there are seven light refracting prisms on the mounted stand to the right. Somehow, the unit on the left would shoot light and do something with the prisms. There is no cord and we don’t know exactly what this is, or what it does. It is a heavy industrial piece and if cleaned up, would make a great display.
