Description:

This is a later or modified version of the Formway Wizard Hulling Machine, made in Los Altos, CA. Seller’s family tells us it would process in excess of 5 tons of walnuts per day when running. Has not been used for 8+ years. This installation was done by an engineer, skilled in electrical and production. Buyer can take everything except the building and foundation, including all electrical, braces, conveyors, etc.. In this configuration, there is a pit at one end where the walnuts were dropped from a bottom dump trailer. They are conveyored up into the first tumbler, where most of the husks come off and are conveyored out the side. Then the walnuts go through a second tumbler where they are washed, and down a flat conveyor belt, where a worker on each side takes out any foreign pieces. The nuts are then conveyored up and dropped into a container. Buyer can back right up to it, and can have some time to disassemble and load.
The slab that this mechanism sits on is 40’ x 20’, plus the pit at one end. The highest part of the machine is 11’10”.
