On wheels, with a single hidden drawer in front, and ornate carvings on all 4 sides. Surface is 30" high, 35" wide and 22" deep. On wheels that appear to be wood. The marble piece sits on top, not attached. There are some very light stains on the marble that could be polished out. Otherwise it is in very good condition, especially for age. Solid, and a beautiful piece. Owner provided us with the following additional information: “Very RARE design stands 29” tall. This table is part of a private collection, acquired over 75 years ago, and has been housed in a private home. Rumored to be an entry table, this rare find is different because of the lower bar that runs from end to end. This lower bar is very ornate and has a removable carved acorn designed obelisk. The table is deeper than you would expect for an entry table or receiving table owning to the size of the room for which it was originally intended. The marble was known to the estate family to be of Italian origin and measures 34”x22”. This beautifully crafted table has a locking hidden drawer (no key at this time, currently unlocked). Circa 1870. Previously appraised for $900.”
