Description:
  • The letter has an original, but faded signature of Ulysses S. Grant, authorizing the Secretary of State to affix the Presidential Seal to a Warrant for the pardon of Thomas Curran, who was probably a Confederate Officer. This is from the home of a prominent Sacramento Family. In a wood frame with glass front, and includes a picture of president Grant. The Grant signature has faded from age, but is readable and original. The outside of the frame is 18.75” x 13”.
