Description:
  • Believed to be a C Melody Saxophone, made by Frank Lofton in Elkhorn, Wis. It was disassembled to replace the pads, and not reassembled, but all of the parts appear to be here. The C Melody size is bigger than an Alto and smaller than a Tenor Sax. It is also called a C Tenor Saxophone. They usually have a C near the Serial Number. This has a C above the Serial Number 9143. It is plated silver, and there is some corrosion, some will polish out. It is about 27” long overall, and includes the padded case. Could be a working sax with new pads and assembly.
