Description:
  • The history of this set is not known, the family tells us it has been around for several generations. The pieces are carved, light wood with a clear or dark finish. The board is also all wood, with individual squares. The whole set may be hand crafted. A few of the pawns are missing their swords, and one of the knights has the horse’s 2 front legs broken off, and the pieces are included - see pics of both. The kings are about 6.5" tall, pawns are 4". The board is 28" x 27.75" and holds all of the pieces. A unique set in good condition.
