All metal frames. Only a top mattress. The bottom frame lowers down to fit underneath the other metal frame when not in use. The mattress is 38" wide and 79" long. It is a Sears-O-Pedic, and has some stains - see pics. Can be taken at buyer's option. The mechanics and lock on the lower frame all work, and both frames are in good condition.
